This authentic Sudetenland Medal<\/strong>, officially known as the “Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938” (Medal in Commemoration of October 1, 1938)<\/strong>, is a well-preserved example of the award issued to German forces and civilians involved in the annexation of the Sudetenland. Instituted on October 18, 1938<\/strong>, by Adolf Hitler, this decoration was awarded to Wehrmacht personnel, SS members, and political figures<\/strong> who participated in or supported the occupation of the Sudetenland following the Munich Agreement.<\/p>\n

The medal remains in excellent condition<\/strong>, retaining its original bronze finish<\/strong>. It features a striking design: on the obverse, a German soldier holding the Nazi flag leads a civilian onto a podium, symbolizing the unification of ethnic Germans with the Reich<\/strong>. The reverse bears the inscription “Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein F\u00fchrer” (One People, One Empire, One Leader)<\/strong>, reinforcing the ideology behind the annexation.
